  • Short walk from Ueno Station. Went through Ueno Park, but around the building was nice. We went to the Andean civilization exhibition, but very good exhibitions, such as the history of dinosaurs and Japan very interesting. Interior is very luxurious and fun there too. Also slowly discovering.

  • This Museum is a great place to explore the origins of civilization in Japan, marvel at the technical achievements of the last few centuries or to hang out with some cool dinosaur skeletons. Visually, the exhibits are stunning and the interactive screens are designed to please even the most ardent self-learner. My kids loved looking at everything, touching many of the interactive exhibits and standing in front of the yesterday camera to see how they look in infrared. Next time we will plan ahead so our youngest can enjoy the relatively new play areas. You need to get tickets to enter and they were sold out by the time we got there. I highly recommend a visit to this Museum!
  • A nice science museum that covers a little bit of everything. There are lots of interactive displays in the lower floors but they are a little worn. Not many English signs, however. The upper floors have pretty cool displays of animals and dinosaurs. All in all, a nice medium sized science museum to spend on a rainy day.
  • One of my favorite museums because I love natural science, there's so much to see you can easily spend half a day here (or more) perfect for a rainy day. I've been twice and I'm ready for another visit. Lots of English and some really great displays, a cheap cafe on site as well
  • It's truly okay. There is nothing available in English. Needless to say, not recommended for tourists unless you have a fluent efficiency of Japanese. The exhibits of sea creatures personally were great, but everything else was mundane and highly disappointing for a museum. The building is great though.
  • Very cool museum. Its worth going into just for the main two attractions that is the evolution of life room and the 360 movie. None of the plaques have english on them but there are info screens where you can select english.
