  • One of the best museums I have been to about one of my favourite cities. Free all year round and great to bring kids. Tonnes to see and a lot of great Dunedin history that is important to the whole of new Zealand. Will definitely come back.
  • The Toitu Otago Settlers Museum is the most interesting museum I've visited. They show the history of the settlers with the help of the modern technology on a interesting way. You can spend hours, listening and reading about the history of the shown pieces. It's free but it would be nice to leave a donation there.
  • Toitu Early Settlers Museum is an interesting and modern place to familiarise yourself with Dunedin's history. Apart from interesting interactive and static displays there is also a research area as well. There is a modern cafe and rest room facilities as you walk in to the museum. Well worth a visit!
  • Fantastic Museum, highly reccomend as part of any trip to Dunedin. Loads to do for the whole family. The exhibits are fun and interactive and the best part is it is free entry. If you have young kids check out the arrivals and departures hall which is full of games and activities to keep the kids occupied.
  • This is one of the most interesting and interactive museums I have experienced. Not just a 'something to do on a rainy day' place. Definitely well worth the time. And great coffee in the foyer cafe.
