Sheltered in an inlet of Lake Wakatipu, the resort town of Queenstown enjoys a strong reputation for its adventuring and skiing opportunities.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Break One Clay Target Shooting and Walking tours. Attractions like Kiwi Birdlife Park and Queenstown Ice Arena make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to The Remarkable Sweet Shop - Arrowtown Shop (in Arrowtown), Nature & Wildlife Tours (in Cardrona) and Mrs Woolly's General Store (in Glenorchy). On the 24th (Sun), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Coronet Peak. Dedicate the 26th (Tue) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: push the limits with an extreme tour, relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, and cast your line with a fishing tour.
