Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Piazza del Campo and Siena Cathedral. Explore Florence's surroundings by going to Bologna (Torri degli Asinelli e Garisenda & Piazza Maggiore). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Uffizi Gallery, take some stellar pictures from Piazzale Michelangelo, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and get a sense of history and politics at Palazzo Vecchio.

Considered one of Tuscany's newer cities, the busy port city of Livorno boasts modern charm uncharacteristic of the region.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Fri): make a trip to Terrazza Mascagni and then make a trip to Piazza dei Miracoli. On the 26th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in panoramic vistas at Guinigi Tower, make a trip to Piazza Anfiteatro, steep yourself in history at Le mura di Lucca, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo Pisa, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Torre di Pisa.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Portovenere and Footpath Monterosso - Vernazza.
